Publication Consent

This applies every time you choose, in the comment form, to publish your story alongside the site's other comments. It explains what you're authorizing, what I commit to doing, and how to ask for removal later.

This is meant to be a quick, plain-language read, with no unnecessary legalese. Where the law needs to show up, it does.

1. What you authorize

By choosing "Publish it on the site" and sending your comment, you authorize its publication on The Boy and the Rainbow: on the site, in the site's translations into other languages, and in derivative formats I may produce from the blog's content: YouTube video, podcast, reels, and similar formats.

2. What kind of license this is

The license is non-exclusive (you remain the owner of what you wrote and can use your own text anywhere you like) and free of charge. No payment is involved in either direction. It has no fixed expiration, but you can revoke it at any time (see section 6).

I reserve the right to edit the text for clarity and length (fixing obvious errors, trimming redundant passages, adjusting punctuation), without changing the meaning of what you shared. And the right to translate the text into the site's other language versions.

3. Your name, your choice

You choose the name shown next to your comment. It can be your real name, a nickname, or simply "Anonymous", including leaving the name field blank in the form.

4. What I guarantee

I commit to: never publishing your email (unless you explicitly choose to publish it, with a warning that this attracts spam); reading and moderating every comment before it appears on the site; and not publishing personal data that identifies third parties mentioned in your story (another person's full name, address, phone number). If it shows up, I edit it out or decline the comment.

5. What's expected of you

To publish, you need to be 18 or older, tell a fact that's your own (your own experience, not someone else's told as if it were yours), and avoid exposing another person's personal data: full name, address, phone number of someone who hasn't authorized appearing.

6. Right to withdraw

You can ask for your comment to be removed at any time, no explanation needed. Just write to the contact email. Removal from the site happens as soon as possible.

One honest caveat: if the text has already been used in a distributed derivative format (a video already published, for instance), it may not be technically possible to recover every copy already in circulation. I'll do what I can to remove it, but I can't promise what's outside my direct control.

7. Version of this consent form

This consent form carries a version date. The one that applies to your comment is whichever was in effect when you sent it, and that information is recorded alongside your comment. Current version: 2026-07-25.
